I always liked being along at home by myself starting in grade 7. Whenever I'm home alone, I usually look for my mom's phone and watch videos. I didn't like to do any work since they annoy me so much. Something that I like to do most whenever I can is to read books that I like. I also play the violin and I enjoyed it so far. I learned many new pieces that I haven't properly learned. I like to learn new and harder pieces so then I don't get bored for about an hour or so. To me, violin has lots of fun pieces to play that piano doesn't have. I especially enjoyed being around animals because they are so cute and I liked them so much.
Now, I don't want to talk to much about what I do and liked so now I want to talk about what's been going on in my life so far in grade 8 and summer. In grade 8, I kind of enjoyed it but not so much. In grade 8, we don't go to classes with different students each time we walk in the hallway. I don't really like it now that I'm in grade 9 (high school). I'm now getting used to SJAM even if it's only the end of the second week. I had some fun at Laurelwood Public School because we had fun activities that we could get involved if we like. We also went on a three-day trip on the last week of school. Fun! We did some other fun activities but I just couldn't remember. The first day at Niagara Falls wasn't too bad but in the evening, it started to rain. Pouring rain. The grade 8's who went to look at the falls before going back to our hotel rooms, were all soaked. I didn't like that. I was cold and wet all over.
I don't really like Math, Art, Science, and etc. The only subjects I really enjoy are French, Music, and Phys Ed. I feel like, in my opinion, that SJAM is better than Laurelwood. I know that it's too early to decide if I like SJAM or not but I just want to tell you what I feel about my elementary school and SJAM.
For summer break, I had lots of fun (again). First, in July, my family and I went on a ten-day vacation to Florida. I didn't know that Florida was so hot. We went to Disney World and Universal where there were so much fun rides like Canada's Wonderland. The trip was alright except for the car. A few days after we arrived at Florida, our car's air condition wasn't working properly because there was a leak which made the car so hot and with the car in the sun. My brother and I were sitting at the back of the car so we couldn't get any cool air from the car. The last day of the trip was okay but before we reached the toll booth, I vomited once. I tried to hold it in but couldn't in the end. Also, the food at Florida was great. I loved their food. We went to the same restaurant twice because it was the only one that I liked the most out of the other restaurants in Florida. I ordered the exact same food as I had ordered the first time I went there because I loved it.
I made a new friend called Isobel Smallman. We met at a music camp (string camp) called MySosi. I didn't know her and didn't like to be around her at first but then I gradually got used to her and became friends. She's my friend because she was the one who started to talk to me every time we meet. I felt very uncomfortable to talk to someone who I didn't know. I stood beside her in group class which I was quite happy about it. I told her that she's my friend and I didn't expect her to be very happy of what I said to her. After I said that, we became great friends and started to talk. I thought she was better at playing the violin than me but she said that I am and we continued saying those words back and forth back and forth. We laugh. We ask each other questions. We stand and sit together if we can. I really miss her. I missed everything that happened at MySosi.
I'm enjoying SJAM so far because it seems to me that SJAM is more enjoyable than elementry school. I can meet new students while in different classes and becoming friends. Speaking of friends, I have become friends with Julie during English and she has been gentle, funny. She acts in the same way that Isobel acts towards me. Anyways, with Julie being my new friend, I'm starting to like her more and more as the days go by.
