Our driving question: How do traumatic events affect people's personality/well being?

For the first day of our lit circle meeting, we grouped together and read to each other our roles and what we did for the first section. Then we discussed what we’re going to do for the final project on day 1. We decided on a driving question and thought of ideas for the final project and writing everything down on the PBL proposal form. On day 2, we, as a group, started the infographic, creating a research doc for all of us to put any researched information in it and decide on what we are going to use for the overall project. The infographic was created by Amelia, who worked on it alone. She gave us the link to the infographic but when we open the website, we figured out that we couldn’t edit. We had to leave it for Amelia to finish it but we still helped her get all the information that she needs to complete the infographic. We also made a checklist for what we have accomplished.

On day 3 and 4, we created a weebly website, continued working on the infographic, started to do some research about the war, started to set up the weebly website, break up the driving question, met with Ms. Smith and continued to do some more research. We created a weebly website on Jessica’s chromebook and researched while Amelia continued with the infographic. We also discussed what information would be good to put on the infographic. We had five driving questions and when Ms. Smith came to our group to talk about what we are going to use for our final product, resources, services, experts that we will need for our project and what will we use to record our progress. After the meeting with Ms. Smith, we continued with our research.

We had to restart the weebly website because Jessica had the first one but since she wasn’t here for three days, we couldn’t work on it so Rachel created a new one. We even created an interview doc for the history teacher so then we would know what to ask him when it’s time. For day 6, we did do some work but then we got distracted with other topics that has nothing to do with our project like getting distracted by contacts, talk off topic about violin and friends at schools, and Jiwon runs around a chair. For work, we did the works cited page, Jiwon wanting to email the history teacher, Mr. Chad, and continued working on the website.

On day 8, we didn’t really have anything written under the day 8 table but we did do quite a few things. Obviously we did our lit circle #5. I don’t remember anything else but I think that we continued with our group project. For the paragraphs for our weebly webpage, we each has an assigned topics to write about in a paragraph to do over the weekend. I did a paragraph on traumatic events, Rachel was responsible for the weebly, Jessica did a paragraph about Vel d’hiv, Amelia did the infographic and wrote a paragraph about the infographic. Jiwon worked on the interview questions over the weekend. Our goal was for each of us to finish everything over the weekend so we can get everything posted on our PBL weebly webpage.
